< ' , °, ' ��'��Gii ORDINANCE NO. �� AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS , there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of J. C. BORDERS and JANICE E. BORDERS requesting that premises described as : Beginning at the intersection of the South right of way line of the Decatur and Springfield Road (U.S. Route 36) and the West line of Hill Crest Blvd. extended South across the said Decatur and Springfield Road; said intersection located 33 ' at right angles to the center line of the existing concrete slab and 661. 20 ' Northeasterly, measured along the South right of way line of said Decatur and Springfield Road, from the West line of the Northwest 1/4 of Section Seventeen (17) , Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P.M. , thence South along the West line of said Hill Crest Blvd. extended South 145 ' , thence Southwesterly parallel to the South right of way line of the said Decatur and Springfield Road 150 ' , thence North parallel to the West line of Hill Crest Blvd. extended South 145 ' to the South right of way line of said Decatur and Spring- field Road, thence Northeasterly along the South right of way line of said Decatur and Springfield Road 150 feet to the point of beginning, and all parts of all public highways included therein, or next and adjacent thereto, if any, be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, WHEREAS ,, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of said premises and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois , and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and, WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois , a municipal corporation. Section 2 . That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
