D g <br /> ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND <br /> WAGES; ALLOCATING POSITIONS TO PAY <br /> GRADES AND MODIFYING CERTAIN CONDITIONS <br /> OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE CLASSIFIED FIRE <br /> SERVICE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS : <br /> Section 1. That until the further order of the Council and <br /> effective as of and retroactive to May 1 , 1976 , and subject to the <br /> applicable provisions of existing ordinances, those positions listed <br /> on Exhibit A hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled Fire <br /> Service Classified Positions be, and they are hereby, assigned to the <br /> pay grade or range set opposite each thereon and that the amount of <br /> pay for each said grade or range be, and the same is hereby, established <br /> as set out in Exhibit B hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled <br /> City of Decatur Pay Plan effective as of May 1 , 1976 , Fire. <br /> Section 2 . That until the further order of the Council and <br /> subject to the applicable provisions of the existing ordinance, authorized <br /> holidays for other than regular shift employees in the classified fire <br /> fighting service be, and the same are established, as follows : <br /> New Year's Day Lincoln' s Birthday <br /> Good Friday Memorial Day <br /> Independence Day Labor Day <br /> Veterans ' Day Thanksgiving Day and the <br /> Christmas Day next following Friday <br /> One Unscheduled I-ioliday <br /> said unscheduled holiday for other than regular shift employees in the <br /> classified fire fighting service may be taken at any time during the <br /> year at the selection of the employee with the approval of the Fire <br /> Chief. <br /> Section 3. That until the further order of the Council and <br /> subject to the applicable provisions of existing ordinances, overtime <br /> served by employees in the classified fire fighting service other than <br /> emergency hold-over or emergency call�-in, shall be paid for by the City <br /> at one and one-half times the normal hourly rate of such employee based <br /> upon a 56-hour duty week, except that the first two hours of non- <br /> emergency hold-over time shall be paid for at the regular rate of pay <br /> of such employee. <br /> Section 4 . That those provisions of existing applicable ordinance <br /> in conformity with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same <br /> are hereby, to the extent of such conflict modified and amended to <br /> conform and accord with the provisions hereof otherwise to remain in <br />
