/ <br /> CHAPTER 64 <br /> WATER SERVICE <br /> l. Water service shall be furnished by the City only in compliance <br /> with, and subject to, the provisions of this chapter and other provisions <br /> of the City Code or ordinances of the City applicable to such service and <br /> then only upon application for the same made to the Water Department by <br /> the owner, or the duly authorized agent of the owner, of the premises to <br /> be served. Such application shall be made upon forms approved by the <br /> Director of the Water Department and the Director of Finance. <br /> 2 . The owner of the premises to be served shall be responsible for <br /> the payment of all charges for water services thereto and said owner, and <br /> the person or entity in possession of the premises if other than the owner, <br /> severally and jointly, shall accept and abide by all of the provisions <br /> of this code or of other ordinances of the City applicable to water service. <br /> 3. The City shall not be liable for or on account of the interruption, <br /> for any reasons whatsoever, of water service to any water user or other <br /> person or entity, and the officers or employees of the City shall not be <br /> liable for or on account of the interruption, for any reasons whatsoever, <br /> of water service to any such user or other person or entity, except for <br /> the intentional or wilful misconduct of such officer or such employee. <br /> 4 . Water furnished from the water system of the City shall be measured <br /> by meters tested and approved by the Water Department and furnished by <br /> the water user, which Department shall repair or replace all meters in <br /> services of one inch or smaller. Meters in services larger than one inch <br /> shall be tested, repaired or replaced in accordance with uniform rules <br /> and regulations promulgated by the City Manager which shall upon order of <br /> the Council be received and placed and kept on file for public inspection <br /> by the City Clerk.
