s <br /> i � <br /> R t ��,�,• , <br /> ORDINANCE N0. �� �'nef1C1�� <br /> ti��v�� <br /> ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES <br /> AND WAGES; ALLOCATING POSITIONS <br /> TO PAY GRADES; AND MODIFYING <br /> CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section l. That until the further order of the Council, and effective <br /> as of, and retroactive to May l, 1976, and subject to the applicable <br /> provisions of existing ordinance, those positions listed on Exhibit A <br /> hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled City of Decatur Positions <br /> and Pay Grades be, and they are hereby, assigned to the Pay Grade or <br /> Range set opposite each thereon, and that the amount of pay for each <br /> said grade or range be, and the same is hereby, established as set out <br /> in Exhibit B hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled City of <br /> Decatur Pay Plan Effective As of May l, 1976. <br /> Section 2. That, until the further order of the Council, and subject <br /> to the applicable provisions of existing ordinance, authorized holidays <br /> for employees in the positions listed in said Exhibit A be, and the same <br /> are hereby, established as follows : <br /> New Year's Day Labor Day <br /> Lincoln' s Birthday Veterans Day <br /> Good Friday Thanksgiving Day and <br /> Memorial Day the next following Friday <br /> Independence Day Christmas Day <br /> One Unscheduled Day <br /> Said unscheduled holiday may be taken at any time during the year provided <br /> that the Department or Division head is given notice five working days <br /> prior to the day to be taken. <br /> Section 3. That eligibility for and payment of sick leave be, and <br /> the same is hereby, further conditioned as follows: <br /> If an employee is on sick leave and it is determined by <br /> a physician that the employee will be unable to return to work <br /> within an amount of time equivalent to his remaining unused sick <br /> leave, said employee must apply for disability benefits if he is <br /> eligible for such benefits and if granted, sick leave payment will <br /> be stopped. If permanent disability is awarded by the employee's <br /> retirement fund, he may choose to be paid for his unused sick leave <br /> at one-half his normal daily rate of pay for each unused sick leave <br /> day or he may retain his remaining sick leave and be credited there- <br /> with if and when he returns to duty. <br /> Section 4. That continuation of salary or wage in the event of certain <br /> injuries, illnesses or disabilities be, and the same is hereby, authorized <br /> and conditioned as follows : <br />
