s i � R t ��,�,• , ORDINANCE N0. �� 'nef1C1�� ti��v�� ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES; ALLOCATING POSITIONS TO PAY GRADES; AND MODIFYING CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That until the further order of the Council, and effective as of, and retroactive to May l, 1976, and subject to the applicable provisions of existing ordinance, those positions listed on Exhibit A hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled City of Decatur Positions and Pay Grades be, and they are hereby, assigned to the Pay Grade or Range set opposite each thereon, and that the amount of pay for each said grade or range be, and the same is hereby, established as set out in Exhibit B hereto attached and made a part hereof entitled City of Decatur Pay Plan Effective As of May l, 1976. Section 2. That, until the further order of the Council, and subject to the applicable provisions of existing ordinance, authorized holidays for employees in the positions listed in said Exhibit A be, and the same are hereby, established as follows : New Year's Day Labor Day Lincoln' s Birthday Veterans Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day and Memorial Day the next following Friday Independence Day Christmas Day One Unscheduled Day Said unscheduled holiday may be taken at any time during the year provided that the Department or Division head is given notice five working days prior to the day to be taken. Section 3. That eligibility for and payment of sick leave be, and the same is hereby, further conditioned as follows: If an employee is on sick leave and it is determined by a physician that the employee will be unable to return to work within an amount of time equivalent to his remaining unused sick leave, said employee must apply for disability benefits if he is eligible for such benefits and if granted, sick leave payment will be stopped. If permanent disability is awarded by the employee's retirement fund, he may choose to be paid for his unused sick leave at one-half his normal daily rate of pay for each unused sick leave day or he may retain his remaining sick leave and be credited there- with if and when he returns to duty. Section 4. That continuation of salary or wage in the event of certain injuries, illnesses or disabilities be, and the same is hereby, authorized and conditioned as follows :
