. . _5_ one or rnore o£ the criteria contained in subsections (c) (1) through (c) (12) hereof, inform the advisory staff and secure their recommendation as to the relationship of tlie proposed designation to the comprehensive plan of the City or the County, their opinion as to the effect of the proposed designation upon the surrounding neighborhood, and their opinion and r�commendations as to any other planning considerations with their �ecom�mendation of approval, rejection or modification af the proposed ci�signation. Said reco:r,menda'.�ion shall become part of the off.icial record concerning the proposed designation and shall be submitted by the Co:nmission along with its recommendations concerning the proposed designation. The Commission may make such modifications, changes and alterations concerning the proposed designation as it deems necessary in considerai�ion of the recommendation of a�visory staff. (e) To make recommendations to the City Council and County Boarci, the Decatur Planning Commission, N�acon County Regional Plan Commission, civic, fraternal, patriotic , and oth.er organizations and the State of Illinois concerning the rediscovery, identifying and maintenance of sites of historical or architecture importance in the City and Coun�ty that may heretofore have been ignored. (f) To develop and recommend improved requlations for the maintena.nce of the area surrounding historical monuments and sites for the greater convenience of the visiting public . (g) To make recommendations for the design and implementation of specific marking of the streets and routes leading from one historical and architectural monument or site to another. (h) To coordinate activities of all civic , patriotic, fraternal, and other organizations of the community in improving
