WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Deca,tur, Illinois, the sworn petition of C3DRDON O. GRACE AND OTHERS requesting that premises described as: The We st Six Hundre d (600) fee t of Lot One (1) of McCaleb Subdivision, as per Plat recorded in Book 300 at page 130 of the Records in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, Illinois, except the South 541.5 feet thereof; situated in the County of Macon, Illinois. be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and, �'l� WI�REAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described prop- erty and by a 11 of the electors re siding the re in; and, WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and, Wf-IEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said ter�.itory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said anne�ced premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
