ORDINANCE NO. 2 01 6—6 9 <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> - SECTION II. DEFINITIONS— <br /> WHEREAS, on the 23`d day of September, 2016 upon due notice,the Decatur <br /> City Plan Commission held a public hearing on the petition of Billy Tyus, Assistant City <br /> Manager, to modify and amend the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Decatur, the same <br /> being Ordinance No. 3512, as amended,by amending Section II. DEFINITIONS thereof, <br /> so that said Sections II. as modified and amended shall provide as set forth herein. <br /> II. Definitions <br /> ACCESSORY BUILDING, STRUCTURE OR USE: A building or use which <br /> (a) Is subordinate to, and serves a principal building or principal use, and is <br /> located on the same lot as said principal building or use; and (b) Is subordinate in <br /> height, extent, and purpose to the principal building or principal use served; (c) <br /> The aggregate ground floor area of all accessory structures does not exceed the <br /> ground floor area of the main building, except that a minimum gross area of 750 <br /> square feet for such accessory building or aggregate areas of two or more <br /> buildings shall be permitted; and (d) Is naturally and normally incidental to that <br /> of the dominant use of the main building or land. A distance of eight (8) feet <br /> shall separate an accessory structure and the main structure or other accessory <br /> structure. <br />
