GREC30RY, <br /> consented to by others so that the owners of all property abutting <br /> thereon, either request or consent to the vacation by the City <br /> Council of a portion of that certain alley in the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, extendin g north and south in what is commonly known as the <br /> 1200 block of East Riverside Street, said portion of said a11ey being <br /> more particularly described as: <br /> Beginning at the Southwoest corner of Lot 8 in Block 2 <br /> of C. E. Schroll's Addition to the City of Decatur, <br /> as per Plat recorded in Book 335, page 31 of the Records <br /> in the Recorder 's Office of Macon Caunty, Illinois; <br /> the nce North along the West line of said Lot 8 to the <br /> Northwest corner there of; thence West 10 feet to the North- <br /> east corner of Lot 9 in said Block 2; thence South along <br /> tl� fiast lines of Lots 9, 10 and 11 in said Block 2 to the <br /> Soutl�ast corner of said Lot lI; thence East 10 feet to the <br /> place of beginning; <br /> and, <br /> WHEI2EAS, said portion of said alley although the same has been <br /> platted has not been opened or improved or used as a public a11ey; and, <br /> Wf�REAS, said portion of said alley is no longer useful to the <br /> public or to the City or to the owners of praperty abutting thereon <br /> as an alley; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest will be subserved by vacating said <br /> portion of said alley and the public will be relieved fram any further <br /> burden or responsibility for opening, improving or maintaining said <br /> portion of said alley for use as a public alley. <br />
