The area in question is further identified as being <br /> loca�ted between the two properties commonly icnotivn as 1224 and <br /> 1228 East Riverside, Decatur, Illinois. Legally it can be <br /> identified a.s being located between Lot Eight (8) of C. E. <br /> Schroll� s Addition. on the East and Lots Nine (9) , Ten (10) and <br /> Eleven (11) of the same Addition on the West (see plat enclosed) . <br /> The purpose of the apprais�l is to determine what benefits woulci <br /> accrue to the adjoining properties from the vacation rather than <br /> to determine its market value. <br /> The land in question is 10 feet in width and extends to the rear - <br /> or northward some 138 feet. From a topography standpoint the <br /> lot has a slight slope from rear to front. No buildina improve- <br /> ments are located on the area in question but a ma��rity of the <br /> concrete driveway on the property commonly lcnown as 1228 East <br /> Riverside is on the 10' subject strip. All of the 10' strip <br /> excepting that oart covered with concrete is in c�rass. <br />
