R ��v <br /> OR3�INANCE AUT�RIZING S�AI.E <br /> OF REAL ESTATE <br /> WHEREAS� the City of Decatur, Illinois, owns certain premises in the <br /> Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the <br /> 3rd P.M., which premises are irregular in shape and underlie the northerly <br /> poxtions of Lots 10, 11 and 12 of South Shores 23rd Addition as per Plat <br /> recorded in Book 1575, page 123 of the Records in the Recorder's Office <br /> of Macon County, Illinois, which premises are generally located in the <br /> southwest quadrant of the intersection of South Shores Drive and Baywood <br /> Drive, a portion of which said premises is currently used for surface water <br /> drainage and otherwise said premises are vacant and unused by the City for <br /> any purpose; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council has determined that with the exception of an <br /> easement for surface water drainage purposes, it is no longer necessary, <br /> appropriate or in the best interest of the City that title thereto be <br /> retained by it, a nd that said real estate, except for such easement, is <br /> not required for the use of, or profitable to, the City; an d, <br /> WI-�REAS, pursuant to statute, notice has been given of a proposal to <br /> sell such real estate and bids have been invited for the purchase of such <br /> real estate, said notice having been first published on or about the 13th <br /> day of August, 1975, and having been published once each week for three <br /> successive tiweeks in the Decatur Daily Review, a newspaper published in <br /> the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said notice, bids were opened at the regular <br /> meeting of the Council held on September 15, 1975, and the only bid for <br /> the purchase of such propeYty which was received was the bid of South <br /> Shores Development CorpoYation in the amount of $300.00 and, <br /> VdiEREAS, the Council finds and determines that the best interests of <br /> the City and its residents will be served by the acceptance of the bid sub- <br /> mitted by said South Shores Develop�nt Corporation, and the sale of the <br /> aforesaid real estate to such bidder for the amount bid of $300.00, which <br /> amount represents the high and only bidz <br /> I�POW� THEREFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE OOUNCIL OF TI-� CITY OF DECATUR� <br /> ILLINOIS; <br /> Section l. The Council finds as facts the recitals hereinabove set <br /> forth. <br /> Section 2. That the bid of South Shores Development Corporation in <br /> the amount of $300.00 be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the Council I <br /> for the sale of the premises heretofore described. , <br />
