� . - - �� , � ORDINANCE NO. -�� AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR�ILLINOIS Wl�REAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation, the surorn petition of William R. Messmore and Mary M. Messmore requesting that premises described as: The South 562 feet of the East 535 feet of the East Half of the Southwoest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meri- dian; and also a11 those parts of public highways lying ne3ct and adjacent thereto; be annexed to the City of 'DecatuY, Illinois; and, Wf�REAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by alI of the owners of record of premises in said above described property and by all of the electors residing therein; and, WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated T own, or other Municipality; and, Wf�REAS, notice of intention to take actio n on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed pYemises is attached her e- to and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this or- dinance to be filed respectively with the County Clerk and recorded by the Reccz�rder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
