WHEREAS, the City of Decatur, Illinois, has adopted a plan for widening, resurfacing and reconstructing new paVement on North Jasper Street between Condit Street and the alley North of I,flcust StYeet and on East Grand Avenue between Illinois Street and Lowber Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TI-iE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section l. It is hereby determined that North Jasper Street be- tween Condit StYeet and the alley North of Locust Street and East Grand Avenue between Illinois Street and Lowber Street should be wi.den- ed, resurfaced and reconstructed all within the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, and that the same be used, occupied and improv�d for street purposes in a manner necessary and convenient for public use. Section 2. That it be, and it is hereby, determine d that said widening, resurfacing and reconstruction project be designated as Sec- tion No. 133-C.S. , C ity Project No. 7222. Section 3. That it be, and it is hereby, determined to be neces- sary and desirable that the City of Decatur, Illinois, acquire title to and possession of the following described real property r�ich said real property is necessary, required and needed for said widening, resurfac- ing and reconstruction project: A part of Lot 10, Block 2 of Powers 2nd Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 22, page 602 of the Records in the Recorder's Off ice of Macon County, Illinois, said part be- ing described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of the above described txact; thence northerly on the west line to th e northwest corner of said tract, a distance of 152 feet; thence east- erly on the north line of said tract, a distance of 34.4 feet; thence southwesterly to a point, said point being 25.14 feet west and 7.53 feet south of the north�vest cor- ner of said tract; �hence southwesterly to a point, said point being 9 feet WES't and 40.5 feet south of the north- w�est corner of said tract; thence southerly 9 feet east of and parallel with the woest line of said tract, to a point, said point being 9 feet w�est of and 5 feet north of the southwest corner of said tract; thence southeasterly to a point on the sauth line o�' and 15 feet �est of the southwest corner of said tract; thence westerly on the south line of and to the southwest corner of said tract, a distance of 15 feet to the point of beginning; said part containing 1,758 square feet, mare ox Iess; situated in the County of Macon, Illinois.
