� . • f1 ' ' ' • • � l . f ' � ' 2 For the purposes of Fire Protection in the City of Decatur, Illinois, to pay the Salaries of 41 Fire Fighters $ 250,000.00 For employment of a Municipal Band for Municipal purposes $ 25,000.00 For Public Benef it �xnd $ 50,000.00 For Street Purposes pursuant to an Act of The General Assembly entitled "An Act in Relatio n to Tax Levies for Street and Bridge Purposes by Cities, Villages, and Incorporated Towns" to be reduced or abated by the County Clerk by a Yate equivalent to the amount of road and bridge tax accruing to such City of Decatur in accordance with Section 6-507 of the 'Illinois Highway Code ' to be used and applied for those street pur- poses as set out in said Appropriation Ordi- nance, under the designation streets and alleys, for street construction $ 250,000.00 For City contribution to Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, as required by law $ 350,000.00 For Operation of a Mass Transit System $ 50,000.00 TOTAL LEVIES FOR SPECIAL FUND PURPOSE S AS ABOVE SPECIFIED BEING ALL LEVIES MADE HEREBY $ 2,621,215.00 Section 2. That the City Clerk of said City of Decatur, Illinois, on the passage and approval of this Ordina nce, shall file a certified copy of th is Ordinance with theCounty Clerk of Macon County, Illinois, in the State of Illinois, as requixed by the Statutes of the State of Illinois, in such case made and pr�ovided. Section 3. That warrants against and in anticipation of the taxes above levied for the payment of the ordinary and necessary expenses of the City for the current fiscal year, are hereby authorized to be drawn by the Mayor and City Clerk to the extent of seventy-five per centum of the total amount of any such tax levied herein in accordance with the Statutes in such case made an d provided, and subject to the provisions t�hereof.
