' ,. <br /> � ORDINANCfi I�. �/ S � <br /> � <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES <br /> FOR fiMPLOYEES IN THE FIRfi FIGFtTING SERVICE <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That effective as of May l, 1974, and con- <br /> tinuing until the further order of the Oouncil, the salaries and , <br /> wages for employees in positions in the fire fighting service as j <br /> set out in Exhibit 1 hereto attached and made a part hereof be, I <br /> and the same are hereby, established by increasing by ten percent I <br /> the respective amounts provided for each step and grade of said I <br /> positions as shown in fixhibit A of Ordinance No. 5807, passed and <br /> approved May ?, 1973. <br /> Section 2. That, subject to and in accordance with ap- <br /> plicable rules and procedures and to payrolls submitted to and al- <br /> lowed by the Council, employees in the fire fighting service of the <br /> City, other than those in positions designated by the City Manager <br /> as division heads or higher in classification, when serving authori- <br /> aed overtime duty shall be paid the regulaY hourly rate of paq based <br /> on a 56 hour duty week for the respective positions of said emp loy- <br /> ees; except, that v�en such authorized overtime duty is served upon <br /> being held ov�r or called in by reason of a conflagration car si�ilar <br /> emergency to supplement a then on duty zegula rly scheduled duty <br /> shi.ft, said employees shall be paid one and one-half times said re- <br /> gular rate of pay. <br /> Section 3.
