• ` y (/ <br /> , ORDINANCE NO. .� 0 S <br /> y� <br /> r <br /> AN ORDINANCE AI�NDING THE ZANING ORDINANCE- <br /> SALVAGE AND SCRAP PROCESSING <br /> WI-�REAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission, on the 5th <br /> day of ppril , 1973, after notice as required by law and ordinance, <br /> held a public hearing upon the petition of The Director of the <br /> Department of Community Development of the City to amend the <br /> existing zoning oYdinance, the same being Ordinance No. 3512 as <br /> amended to date, to provide therein for the operation, within the <br /> City of Decatur of: ZNDUSTRIAL SCRAP PROCESSING, CO�RCIAL SCRAP <br /> PROCESSIIVG, AUTOMOTIVE SALVAGE, and RETAIL SALVAGE or JUNK YARD <br /> operations, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission did recommend <br /> that the prayer of said petition be granted and the ordinance be <br /> amended as so provided. <br /> NOW THEREFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLTIVOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the report and recommendation of the <br /> City Plan Commission be received, placed on file and approved. <br /> Sectis�n 2. That the zoning ordinance of the City of <br /> Decatur, the same being Ordinance No. 3512, passed February 8, <br /> 1960, as the same has been heretofore amended, be, and it is <br /> hereby further amended at Section 2, DEFINITIONS by deleting the <br /> definition ot ,7UlyK yARD at Item 29 thereof and by adding af�er <br /> Item 65 thereof the following: <br /> 66. INDUSTRTAL SCRAP PROCESSING. Business <br /> operations engaged in the puzchase, collection or <br /> accumulation of sorted scrap material consisting of <br /> or substantially resembling the following: Scrap- <br /> material, cuttings or trimmings, industrial scrap or <br /> by products, machine or equipment parts, paper or <br /> rags for the principal purpose of binding, baling, <br /> compacting, cutting, packing, shipping, transporting <br /> or commercial resale of the sorted scrap material <br /> so accumulated. <br /> 67. CONIl�IODITY SCRAP PROCESSING.
