That the C ivil Service Commission of <br /> the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and it is hereby <br /> authorized to, in its discretion, provide by rule that <br /> original appointment to the classified service be upon <br /> probation for some period not to exceed one year. <br /> Section 2. That said Commission be, and it is <br /> herb�by, authorized to, in its discretion, provide by <br /> rule that promotional appointment in the classified <br /> service be upon probatian for some period not to exceed <br /> one year. <br /> Section 3.
