WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, I1linois, the sworn petition of LAUIE W. O'DiELL and SHIRLEY J. O�DELL requesting that premises described as; Lot Seventeen (17) of Broachnoor Place Second, as per Plat recorded in Book 982, pa ge 46 of the Re- cords in the RecoYdex's Office of Macon County, Illinois; also, a11 parts of public highwa�ys lying within or next and adjacent to said above described premises; be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois ; a nd WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above clescribed property and by all of the electo rs residing therein; and Wf�REAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a paYt of any City, Village, Incorporated Town or other Municipality; and WI�REAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by Statute. NOW THEREFURE� BE IT ORDAINED BY 2HE COUNCIL OF T�-iE CITY OF DfiCATUR� ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said teYritory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, anne xed to and is hereby incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a Municipal Corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said anne�aed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordi- nance to be respectively filed wi.th the County Clerk and recorded by the Re- corder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
