i OIiDINANCE NO. ��3� ORDINANCE AMENDING 1HE "HEATING AND COOLING CODE" � BE IT ORDAINEA BY THE GOUNCIL 4F THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS; Section 1. That Ordinance No. 5042, the same being "An Ordinance Providing for the Regulation of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Installations and for the Licensing of Heating, Air Conditioning and Re:Erigeratio n Contractors and Creating a Com- mission for the Same" passed and approved on the Sth day of August, 1968, as amended, be, and the same is hereby, further amended at Sec- tion 16 thereof by substituting in lieu of the existing provisions of said Section 16 the following provisions : "16. The rules, regulations, require ments and pro- visi,ons of the Code for the Installation of Heat Pro- ducing Appliances, Heating, Ventilating, Air Condition- ing, Blower and Exhaust Systems, Edition 1967 of the American Insurance Associatio n are, pursuant to statute, adopted by reference as if fully set fo rth herein along with all appendix t ereto and the National Electrical - Code, Edition 196�f th g National Fire Protection Asso- ciation and the BOCA Basic Building Code/1970 Fifth Edi- tion of the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc. insofar as the provisions of each of said codes may be applicable to t he installation, safe construction, alteration, inspection, testing, maintenance and servicing of heating, air conditioning and refrigera- ting systems are also so adopted by reference. " Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorize�d and directed to cause this ordinance to be published as re- quired by law whereafter the same shall become and be effective as by law prescribed.
