ORDI NANCB 1V�.J ` �-� <br /> AN ORDINANCS AMENDING BUILDING CODfi - <br /> BUSINFSS INDUSTRIAL AND STORAGE BUILDING EXITS <br /> � <br /> WHEREAS, with certain exceptions, the rules, regulations, <br /> requirements and provisions of both the Life Safety Code, 1967, Edi- <br /> tion, of the National Fire Protection Association, and of the BOCA <br /> Basic Building Code/1970, have heretofore been adopted by reference <br /> and are now effective within the jurisdiction of the City; and <br /> WHSREAS, there is apparent conflict between the provisions <br /> of said codes, and the application thereof in certain cases, relating <br /> to the trav¢1 distance to e xits in busine�s, industrial and storage <br /> buildings. <br /> NOW� THII2EFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CbiJNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR� ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That in the event of conflict betw�een the pro- <br /> visions of section 14-216 of said Life Safety Code and of section 604.0 <br /> of said BOCA Basic Building Code/19'70, or the application thezeof, the <br /> provisions of said Life Safety Code, includin g the exceptions set out <br /> therein, shall be applied and enforced. <br /> Section 2.
