WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, did, on the lOth day of July, 1972, pass the annual appropriation ordi- nance for the City of Decatur, for the fiscal year beginning with the lst day of May, 1972, and ending on the 30th day of April, 1973, in the aggregate sum of SIXTEEN MILLION FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY THOUSAND AND SIXTY-SIX AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($16,530,066.00), which said ordinance was approved on the lOth day of July, 1972, and pub- lished on the 19th day of July, 1972, the objects and purposes for which the several appropriations were made being shown by a copy of said Annual Appropriation Ordinance hereto attached and rnade a part hereof. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CafJNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATtJR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, as the same is taxed and equalized for State and County purposes for the fiscal year beginning with the lst day of May, 1972, and ending on the 30th day of April, 1973, the sum of TWO MILLION THREE HUNDRSD FIFTY ONE THOUSAND THREfi HUNDRED BIGHTY THREE AN D NO/100 DOLIARS ($2,351,383.00), the objects and purposes for which said sum is hereby levied and is ap- portioned among the several objccts and purpo�es herein specified as follows: For the Maintenance of Public Library Reading Rooms to be known as the Library Fund $ 450,000.00 For Police Pensions, as required by law $ 279,755.00 For Firemen's Pensions, as required by la w $ 431, 118.00 For the Purposes of Fire Protection in the City of Decatur, Illinois, to pay the Salaries of 41 Fire Fighters $ 225,000.00
