<br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING 2ERRITORY TO THE -
<br /> CI'TY OF DECA?UR. IU.INOIS
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of
<br /> the City of Uecatur, Illinois, the svwrn petition of FRED JOHNS,
<br /> JR. AND OTHFRS requesting that premises d2scribed as:
<br /> Lot 16 of Brettwood Heights Addition, as per
<br /> Plat recorded in Book 982, page 82 of the Re-
<br /> cords in the Recorder's Office of Macon Caunty,
<br /> Illinois; also all portions of public highur�ys
<br /> within or next and adjacent thereto;
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatnr, Illinois ; and
<br /> WFIEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is
<br /> signed by all oP the owners of record of premises in said above de-
<br /> scribed propezty and by all of the electors residing therein ; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said terYitory is contiguous to the City of Decatur,
<br /> Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Viilage, Incorporated �own,
<br /> or other Municipality; and
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of
<br /> . the said territozy has l�een given as provided by statute.
<br /> NOW �-iEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS:
<br /> Sectian 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be,
<br /> and the same is here by, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into
<br /> the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corpc�ration.
<br /> Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premise s is attached
<br /> h�reto and made a part hereof.
<br /> Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
