� �� s • �/ � • b ORDINANCE NO. `��OS AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY 1`O THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHfiREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of L. L. CASNER a17d CLARA H. CASNER requesting that premises described as: The South 655.61 feet of the Southeast Quarter of the South w�est Quarter of Section 26, Township 16 North, Range 2 Bast of the 3rd P.M. , except the West 265.6 feet and the East 132.8 feet of the said described tract. Also, all parts of pub- lic highways lying within ar next and adjacent to said above described territory; be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WHE�AS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above de- scribed property and by all of the electors residing th¢rein; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town, or other Municipality; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on anne xation of said territory has been given as provided by Statute. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINfiD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF D&CATUR� ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is here by, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal oorporation. Section 2. That a plat of said anne xed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
