<br /> AN ORD7IVANCE ANNEXINC TERRITORY TO TH�v""'� k�`"'su�r af
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS
<br /> WF�REAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City
<br /> of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of PAUL K. DAMELS AND
<br /> OTHERS requesting that premises described as :
<br /> A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
<br /> of Section 25, Township 17 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd
<br /> P.M. ; beginning at a point on the South line of the said
<br /> S4V14 of the SW'-4, 130.0 feet West of the Southeast corner,
<br /> the nce northerly ona line parallel to the East line of the
<br /> St�T'-4 of the St��4j 440.0 feet, thence westerly parallel to the
<br /> said south line , 350.0 feet, thence southerly 440.0 feet to
<br /> a point on the said south line, 350,0 feet west of the point
<br /> of beginning, thence East to the point of beginning, except-
<br /> irig th�refrom that portion dedicated for public highway pur-
<br /> poses by deeds recorded in Book 1504, at pages 82 and 84 of
<br /> the Records in the Recorder.s' O�fice of Macon County, Illinois;
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed
<br /> by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described
<br /> property� and by all of the electors residing therein; and
<br /> WHERSAS, sa id territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur,
<br /> iliinois, and is not a �art �t any City, Village, Incorporated To� .
<br /> or oi,ner Municipaliiy; anci
<br /> WHEREAS, noti.ce of intention to take action on annexation of
<br /> the said territory has been given as provided by statute .
<br /> NOW THF_REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, TLLINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That the said territory hereina6ove described be,
<br /> and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into
<br /> the limits of the City of Decatur , Illinois, a municipal co►-poration.
<br /> Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof .
<br /> Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed �vith the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois .
