<br /> AN ORDINANCB M�ING SUPFLSMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS
<br /> FOR TI-� FISCAL YEAR COMI�NCING MAY 1, 1971, AND
<br /> ENDING APRIL 30, 1972.
<br /> WHBREAS, subsequent to the �doption by this Council on the
<br /> 26th day of July, 1971, of the Annual Appropriation Ordinance, being
<br /> Ordinance No. 5543, for the fiscal year May 1, 1971 through A�ril 30,
<br /> 1972, certain additional revernie not available wh�n said ordinance was
<br /> adopted and not th�n anticipated has become and been made available;
<br /> a nd
<br /> WHBREAS, th� aggregatc of the additional r�venue availablc or
<br /> �stinated to be received subs�quent to the adoption of said Ann�aal Ap-
<br /> propriation Ordinance as aforesaid is in excess of the total a�aount
<br /> hereinafter appropriated as provided by Illinois Revised �tatute� 1969,
<br /> Chapter 24, Section 8-2-9; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said additional revenue is nade available from the
<br /> United Stat�s of America acting by and through th� Department of Labor
<br /> ther�of pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Emer-
<br /> gency fi�ploym�nt Act of 1971, the same being Public Law 92-54, effective
<br /> July 12, 1971, the purpose and o bject of tiahich said Act is to provide
<br /> unemployed and und�r employed persons with tsansitional employm�nt in
<br /> jobs pYoviding needed public services during certain periods through
<br /> grants to, anong others, general local governments; and
<br /> WHEI�'sAS, funds have been granted to The City of D�catur, Illinois,
<br /> for the object and purpos� aforesaid to be administered by the City for
<br /> said object and purpose and it is necessary that appropriations be ma�de
<br /> so that said fund� may be expended in the course of such acl�inistration
<br /> by said City for said object and purpose; and
<br /> t�-IEREAS, the funds hereinafter appropriated arise from sources
<br /> of r�venue other than general property taxes.
<br /> NOW THEREFO RE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THfi CITY OF
<br /> DECATUR, ILGINOIS:
<br /> Section 1. That the following suns be, and they are hereby, ap-
<br /> propriated, from revenues other than g�neral property taxes, for the ob-
<br /> ject and purpose aforesaid by the City of Decatur, Illinois, for the fia-
<br /> cal year 1971-19'72, beginning May 1, 1971, and ending April 30, 19�2,
<br /> said sums to be provided for from the grant h�rein referred to:
