v , � � ORDINANCE NO. �� / � ' AN ORDINANCE MAKING SUPPLEI�NTAL APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COTM'IENCING MAY 1, 1971, AND ENDING APRIL 30� 1972. WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption by this Council on the 26th day of July, 1971, of the Annual Appropriatio n Ordinance, bein g Ordinance No. 5543, f or the fiscal year May 1, 1971 through April 30, 1972, certain additional revenue not available when said ordinance was adopted and not then anticipated has become and been made available ; and WI-�REAS, the aggregate of the additional revenue available or estimated to be received subsequent to the ado ption of said Annual Ap- propriation Ordinance as aforesaid is in excess of the total amount hereinafter appropriated as provided by Illinois Revised Statutes 1969, Chapter 24, Section 8-2-9; and WHEREAS, said additional revenue is made available from the United States of America acting by and through the Department of Labor thereof pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Emer- gency Employment Act of 1971, the same being Public Law 92-54, effective July 12, 1971, the purpose and object of which said Act is to provide unemployed and under employed persons with transitional employment in jobs providing needed public services during certain periods through grants to, among others, general local governments; and WHEREAS, funds have been granted to The City of Decatur, Illinois, for the object and purpose aforesaid to be administered by the City for said object and purpose and it is necessary that appropriations be made so that said funds may be expended in the course of such administration by said City for said object and purpose. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 1HE QOUNCIL OF THE CIT Y OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: 5ection l.
