..� . : • �/.,". t ORDINANCE NO. _,��j � � AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREA5, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petitio n of CLARENCE C. GRANDFIELD AND OTHERS requesting that premises described as: The South 120 feet of Lot 9 and the South 120 feet of Lot 3 of Fairground Home Sites Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 802, page 112 of the Records in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, Illinois ; also all portions of public highways within or next and adjacent thereto; be annexed to the City of Decatur , Illinois; and WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described property and by all of the electors residing therein; and Wf�REAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village , Incorporated Town or other Municipality; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of the said territory has been given as provided by statute . NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporatian. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certif ied copies of th is ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recor- ded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
