' o�iN�avcg rro. s �� ' AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY WHfiREAS, on the 4th day of February, 1971, after notice as required by law and ordinance, the Decatur City Plan Commission held a public hearing upon the petition of ILLINOIS POWER COMPANY to rezone premises described as: A tract of land located in t he Northwest Quartcr of the Notthwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 16 North, Range 2 Ea�t of the Third Principal Meridian, in the County oF Macon, State of Tllinois, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point 35 feet West, and 1528.3 feet North of the Southeast corner of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of said Section, which point is also the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed by the Academy of St .Teresa to Illinois Power and Light Corporation by deed dated December 16, 1924, and recorded in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, Illinois, in Book 544, Page 595; thence Westwazdly, along the North- erly liae of the property so conveyed as aforesaid and its Westerly extension, a distance of 420 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing We�twardly along the said line a distance of 271.87 feet; thence North on a line parallcl to the West line of said Section a distance of 181.1 feet, more or less, to the centerline of a public highway described in Warranty Deed from Edward D. Mattes and fimma L. Mattes, his wife, to Commis- sion�r of Highways dated September 26, 1932, and recorded in Book 737, Page 254 of the said records of said County; thence Eastwardly along the centerline of said public highway so conv�yed as aforesaid to a point which is 455 feet West of the fiast line of said Quarter Quarter' Sect ion; thence South a long a 1 ine pa ra l le 1 to t he Ea st line of �aid Quarter Quarter Section to the point of beginning. from R-3 RESIDENCE DISTRICT to M-1 LIQ�T INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; and tn�-iEREAS, the Decatur City Plan Commission recommended that the prayer of said Petition be granted.
