AN ORDINANCfi ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLIIV�IS WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of THfi CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK OF DECATUR AS TRUSTfifi AND OTHERS, requesting that premises described as; All that portion of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27 lying We st of the Illinois Central Railroad, and all that portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27 lying west of said Illinois Central Railroad, a 11 in Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M., containing 19.35 acres, more or less, and Th2 East Half of the South West Quarter; the South Half of the South East Quarter, except the West 1320 feet of the South 847.65 feet thereof; also beginning at a point 504 feet Bast of the Northwest Carnez of t he South Sast Quarter of Section Tw�enty- seven (27), thence South 951 feet to a stone,thence East to the East line of the North West Quarter of the South East Quarter, thence South 384 feet to the South East corner of said North West Quarter of the South Bast Quarter , thence West to the South- west Corner of said North West Quarter of the South East Quarter, thence North to the Northwest Corner of said South Sast Quarter, thence East 504 feet to the place of beginning; all in Section Twenty-seven (27), Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Two (2) East of the 3rd P.M., subject to existing railxoad right of way; also all those por- tions of public highways lying within or next and adjacent to said described premises. be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WHERSAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described property and by all of the electors residing therein; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous tio the City of Decatur, Illinois, a nd is not a part of any City, Vi11a ge, Incorporated Town or Other Municipality; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DfiCATUR, I LLI NO IS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
