-� � . , <br /> ` ' � <br /> ORDIIVANCE NO. --5 �-3`�� <br /> AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY ENTIRELY <br /> SURROUNDED BY THE CITY LIMITS OF DECATUR <br /> WHEREAS, certain unincorporated territory described as <br /> follows: <br /> Beginning at a point in the South line of 4Jest <br /> Grand Avenue 658.5 feet North and 369 feet East <br /> of the Southwest corner of the Southeast Ruarter <br /> (SE4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 4) of Section <br /> 8, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd <br /> P.M. ; thence South 300 feet; thence East 145 feet; <br /> thence North 290.55 feet; to the south line of West <br /> C�and Avenue; thence westerly along the south line <br /> of West Grand Avenue to the point of beginning, ex- <br /> cept the West Half thereof. <br /> is wholly bounded and surrounded by the boundaries of the City of <br /> Decatur, Illinois; and <br /> WHEREAS, such territory is less than sixty (60) acres in <br /> area; and <br /> WHEREAS� the Council finds that such territory should be <br /> anne�ced to the said City of �kcatur, Illinois; and <br /> WI-�REAS, notice of the contemplated annexation of said <br /> territory has been given as provided by law. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said territory or premises above described <br /> be, and the same are hereby, annexed to and made a part of the City <br /> of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br /> Section 2.
