� ' ,, ; . . • . t . . . ., � � ORDINANCE NO. ��3 I AN ORDINANCE ANNfiXING TERRII'ORY EI�TTIRELY SURROUNDED BY THE CITY LIMITS OF DECATUR WHEREAS, certain unincorporated territory described as follows: The North 133 feet of the South 541 feet of the West Nalf of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quar- ter of Section 8, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. Also, beginning at a point on the existing corporate limits of the City of Decatur, said point being on the south line of West Center Street 90 feet west of the east line, extended south of Lot 4 of philipsdale, as per Plat re- corded in Book 335, Page 330 of the Records in the Recorder 's Office of Macon County, Illinois; thence E�sterly along the south line of West Center Street to the east line of the West Half of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 8; thenc� south to a point 541 feet north of the south line of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 8; thence west to a point directly south of the point of be- ginning; thence north to the point of beginning; is wholly bounded and surrounded by the boundaries of the City of Decatur, Illinois; and 4d-IEREAS, such territory is less than sixty (60) acres in area; and WHEREAS, the Council finds that such territory should be annexed to the said City of Decatur , Illinois; and WHEREAS, notice of the contemplated annexation of said territory has been given as provided i�y law. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That said territory or premises above described be, and the 5ame are hereby, annexed to and made a part of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation.
