i < .♦ . � � � ORDINANCE N0. 5 y � �-- e � ✓ AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinoi�, the sw�orn petition of DOLPH FRANKLIN AND OTHfiRS, requesting that premises described as: Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 of Block One of Ritchie Heights Addition, as per Plat recorded in Book 536, page 159 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County,zllinois; also, all those parts of public highways lying within or next and adjacent to said premises. be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WI�REAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described pro- perty and by all of the electors residing there in; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incorporated Town or Other Municipality; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THECOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DfiCATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal corporation. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certif ied copies of this or- dinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
