, <br /> ✓ <br /> i J <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ��_3�r � <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMEPdDING CITY CODE -- <br /> C��APTER 14 - WATER DEPARTMENT <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ZLLI�TOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City �=ode of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, at Chapter 14 thereof entitled "WATER DEPARTMENT" be, <br /> and the same is here by, amended by adding Section 6 thereto which <br /> section snall provide as follows: <br /> 6. Whenever the term "water wor ks " is used in thi s <br /> Code it shall mean and include the entire pliysical property of the <br /> City of Decatur , Illinois used in raw and treated u.�ater, storage, <br /> treatment, purification, pumping and distribution and shall include <br /> ti�e .reservoir commonly known as Lake Decatur and all appurtenances <br /> thereto. <br /> Section 2. That said Chapter 14 be, and the same is here- <br /> by, amended by adding Section 7 tnereto vahich said section shall pro- <br /> vide as follows: <br /> 7. All re��enue or other monies received on behalf of th� <br /> Water Deparl:ment whether from the �urnishing of water, from connec- <br /> tion fees or otherwise and from any source whatsoever shall be segre- <br /> gated into and placed in a separate fund of the City which fund shall <br /> be designated as the Water Fund and �ich shall be expended for the <br /> Water Department purposes only and no portion whereof shall be expen- <br /> ded for the purposes of any other department of or any other purp ose <br /> of the City except that those costs which should be reasonabll� and <br /> properly charged to the Water Department may be expended from said Fund. <br /> Section 3. That this ordinance and said amendment shall be- <br /> come and be effective the first day of October, 1970, after the <br /> same has been published as provided by law. <br />
