<br /> ,' '' AN ORDINAPdCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO TI-IE
<br /> CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS
<br /> WHEREAS, there has been filed cvith the City Clerk of the
<br /> �. City of Decatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of RICHARD BARCLAY
<br /> AND OTHERS requesting that premises described as:
<br /> Lots 1, 16, I7, 18, 19, 21, 28, 29, 32, �I, 42,
<br /> 44, 45, 57, 58, 64 of Ellendale Addition to the
<br /> City of Decatur, as per Plat record2d in Book
<br /> 646, page 278 of the Records in the Recorder 's
<br /> 4ffice of Macon County, Illinois, also, all those
<br /> portions of pulalic street, high�vay or way therein
<br /> or next and adjacent thereto; '
<br /> be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and
<br /> Wf-IEREAS, it is shovm by affidavit that said petition is
<br /> signed by all of the o�vners of record of premises in said above
<br /> described property and by all of the electors residing therein;
<br /> and
<br /> � WHEREAS, said territory is cantiguous to the City of
<br /> Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incor-
<br /> porated Tow� or other 1Kunicipality; and
<br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation
<br /> of said territory has been given as provided by statute.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF DECATUR,ILLINOIS: �
<br /> Secti�n �. That tY�e said territory 'r.ereinabove ciescribed
<br /> be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby, incorporatFd
<br /> into the limits of th e City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal cor-
<br /> poration. ,
<br /> Section 2. That a plat of said anne xed premises is attached
<br /> hereto and made a part hereof.
<br /> ,
<br /> Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this
<br /> ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded
<br /> by the Recorder of Deeds of Niacan County, Illinois.
