� . � , . , J j a 1 • � Y ORDI NANCE NO. �_3 I AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Iaecatur, Illinois, the sworn petition of NORTHWEST CHRIS- TIAN CI�iURCH requesting that premises described as: Beginning at the southeast corner of the South- west Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast �2uarter of Sectio n 8, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. ; thence North along the East line of said Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Ruarter of the Northeast Quarter 332.5 feet; thence t�dest 145 feet; thence South 10.1 feet; thence West 145 feet; thence North 300 feet to the South line of Center Street; thence Westerly along the Sou th line of Center Street 39.5 feet; thence South 220.9 feet; thence West 327.52 feet to the West line of Stanley Avenue; the nce South along the West line of Stanley Avenue 142 feet; thence West 324.9 feet; thence South 277.25 feet to the South line of the North- east Quarter of Section 8, Township 16 North, Range 2 East of the 3rd P.M. ; thence East alo�g the Sauth line of said Northeast Quarter to the place of beginning; be annexed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of the owners of record of premises in said above described property and by all of the electors residing therein; and V�iEREAS, said territory is continguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, Incor- porated Town or other Municipality; and iniFIEREAS, notice of intention to take action on annexation of said territory has been given as provided by statute. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS; Section 1. That the said territory herenabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal cor- poration. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Sect ion 3. That the City Clerk cause cert if ied copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and recorded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
