That emmployees in th� mechaaiaal and main•� tenance classified pasitions set o�t in the H�JRLY SBCTION of said schedule shall be paid �ges at the respective hourly rates �hov�m therein for the respective pay grades and at steps deter- min�d as above proviied herein� and full time employees assigned to said classified positions shall be paid one and one�half times the respective hourly rates provi�ed for all vrc�rk in eaacess of forty hours in any one �eek. �ctien 5. That full tia�e employees in those positions� oth�r than thos� designated by the City Manager as Division Heads� set out in the schedule aforesaid other than in the I�OURLY SECTION th�reof �hall be paid at the regular hourly rate for each hour of time worked we�kly beyond the total number of ho�rs p�r w��k regu« larlq required for said position. Section 6. That� notwithstanding the foregoing� �upe=vi- sc�ry �mploye�s shall be placed in grad� at a step which provides an anount of pay or�e step higher than the then cur�rent pay of the high«_ e�t paid regularly assi�ed employee supervistd, provided that no supervisory employee shall be placed below Step C in the grade as- signed. When an �mployee� after being c�rtified fer appointment by the Civil Sexvic� Comt�ission, is appointed to an«� other classified position having a pay range high�r than the former position of such employee, �aid enployee shall advance to th� low�• est step of the new pay grade� or to the step in the ttew grade with ' the rate next above the rate of pay of such employee immediately before appointment! vohichever rate c►f pay is higher. Section 8. T�amporary, seasonal and part tise employees as defined in the Civil Service Cc�aission Rules sha11 be conpensated as set out in said schedule, shall receive only the salary or ae►ge provided in this section and shall not be entitled to or be credited with vacation time or pay, holidays, sick l�ave or other employee benefits.
