-10- � <br /> SECTION 13: BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the aggregate <br /> assessment, and also each individual assessment and the assessment against the <br /> municipality for public benefits, shall be divided into ten annual installments in the <br /> manner provided by 5tatute. Each installment, except the first, shall be the amount <br /> of $100. 00-or some multiple thereof, and each of said installments shall bear interest <br /> at the rate of ,6% per annum, payable annually, according to law, until paid. <br /> SECTION 14: BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED in all proceeding s for the <br /> taking or damaging of prope rty and for the assessing, levying, and collecting of said <br /> special assessments herein provided for, and for each and. every installment thereof, <br /> and for the letting of the contract of said improvement, and for the payment of the <br /> work and materials, all, each and every proceeding shall accord with and be governed <br /> by an act of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois, entitled "Local Improvement, " <br /> being Chapter 24 Illinois Revised Statutes Article 9 (1967), and all acts amendatory, <br /> thereof. <br /> SECTION 15: BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that management of said <br /> improvement shall be under the general supervision of the Board of Local <br /> Improvements of the City of Decatur, Illinois. <br /> SECTION 16: BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Corporation Counsel <br /> of the said City of Decatur, Macon County, Illinois, be and he is hereby authorized <br /> and directed to file a Petition in the Circuit Court of Macon County, Illinois, in the <br /> name of the City of Decatur, Illinois, praying that steps may be taken to ascertain <br /> . the compensation to be made for private property to be taken or damaged for: such <br /> improvement and for the purposes specified. in this Ordinance, and to ascertain what <br /> property will be benefited by such improvement and the amount of auch benefits be <br /> levied for such improvement in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and <br />
