� � • M . . : � � , . ,. �r ORDINANCE NO. Jra 7 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS. WHERFAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Decatur, Illinois, the swc�rn petition of THERESA M. BARNHART AND OTHERS, requesting that premises described as: The East 452.� feet of that part of the North- east Quarter (NE 4) of the Northeast �iarter (1VE-4) of Section fiighteen (18) Township Sixteen (16) North, Range Two (2) East of the Third Principal I�ridian, lying North of West Main Street (former U. S. Route 36) located in the County of Macon, State of Illinois; be anne xed to the City of Decatur, Illinois; and WHEREAS, it is shown by affidavit that said petition is signed by all of' the owners of record of premises in said above described property; that there are no electors residing therein; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Decatur, Illinois, and is not a part of any City, Village, In- I corporated Town or other Municipality; and WHEREAS, notice of intention to tak,e action on annexa- tion of said territory has been given as provided by Statute. NOW THEREFORE� BE IT ORDAINED BY THB O�UNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR� ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the said territory hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby, annexed to and is hereby incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, Illinois, a municipal co r- poration. Section 2. That a plat of said annexed premises is attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. That the City Clerk cause certified copies of this ordinance to be respectively filed with the County Clerk and re- corded by the Recorder of Deeds of Macon County, Illinois.
