RESOLUTION NO. R2016-137 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OF DECATUR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR PURCHASE OF A PIERCE SABER PUMPER FIRE APPARATUS AND AGREEMENT FOR DEBT FINANCING OF APPARATUS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the City of Decatur, through the Houston/Galveston Area Council (H- GAC), desires to acquire a Pierce Saber Pumper Apparatus, from Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wisconsin, replacing an out of service 2001 Pierce Aerial Apparatus, at a net acquisition price not to exceed $435,000.00. Section 2. That the City of Decatur desires to enter into a debt financing arrangement for the acquisition of the new apparatus with a not to exceed principal amount of$435,000, at a not to exceed interest rate of 3.25%, for a financing term not to exceed seven (7)years. Section 3. That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager the authority to enter into the contract to acquire the fire apparatus from Pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wisconsin, and to enter into the debt financing arrangement at the not to exceed levels as defined in Section 2.
