Getz Jr.,Chief of Police <br /> SUBJECT. The purpose of this memorandum is to request the expenditure of funds to Motorola Solutions,Inc.,for the annual <br /> Motorola System/Service Upgrade Agreement. <br /> SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It would be the recommendation of staff that the Decatur Police Department pay Motorola Solutions for the system/service <br /> upgrade agreement at the cost of$23,900.04 to be paid out of the designated Police Communications budget. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The City of Decatur signed an annual system and service upgrade agreement with Motorola Solutions on December 27,2013,for <br /> the commencement date of January 1,2014,and expiring on December 31,2019. The Motorola System/Service Upgrade <br /> agreement provides the system owner(City of Decatur)with the software,hardware,and implementation services required to <br /> execute system infrastructure upgrades. Payment for the contract year,January 1,2017 through December 31,2017 is now due. <br /> POTENTIAL OBJECTIONS: None Anticipated. <br /> STAFF REFERENCE: James E.Getz Jr.,Chief of Police,424-2741,jgetzjr@decaturil.gov or Shane Brandel,Deputy Chief of <br /> Police,424-2740,sbrandel@decaturil.gov <br /> BUDGET/TIME IMPLICATIONS: Payment is due January 21,2017.
