Anderson Plaza, <br /> Decatur, Illinois, 62523, until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 6, 2017, and thereafter publicly <br /> opened and read. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: <br /> The proposed improvement is officially known as: <br /> 2017 LOCAL MOTOR FUEL TAX <br /> STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> (ASPHALT) <br /> CITY PROJECT 2017-25 <br /> The proposed project herein specified and described includes the following work: <br /> The placement of over 9,000 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt and 13,000 square yards of <br /> processing soil-cement on various streets in the City of Decatur. There will be <br /> alternate bids for seven additional streets totaling an additional 3,000 tons of <br /> Hot-Mix Asphalt if all alternate streets are chosen. The work includes pavement <br /> removal, Class D patches, utility adjustments, crack filling, thermoplastic <br /> pavement marking, traffic control, and other related work items. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS: <br /> 1. Plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from Decatur Blue Print, <br /> Inc. 230 West Wood Street, Decatur, Illinois, 62523, (217) 423-7589, <br /> www.decaturblue.com. <br /> 2. A MANDATORY PRE-BID WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 27TH <br /> 2017, AT 10:30 A.M. IN THE PUBLIC WORKS CONFERENCE ROOM ON <br /> THE 3RD FLOOR OF THE DECATUR CIVIC CENTER. In addition to project <br /> questions, the opportunity will be provided to discuss the City's minority <br /> participation goals. Attendance is required to bid on the project, a telephone <br /> conference will be setup for bidders who cannot attend the meeting in-person. <br /> Contact City Engineering at 217-424-2747 to receive conference number and <br /> password. <br /> 3.
