Amended <br /> Letter of Agreement <br /> By and Between <br /> City of Decatur, Illinois and AFSCME Local 268 <br /> This Amended Agreement is made by and between the CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS ("CITY") and the <br /> AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO, COUNCIL <br /> 31 for and on behalf of LOCAL 268 ("UNION"). <br /> The CITY and the UNION hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. The parties entered into an Agreement on May 31, 2017 regarding the Job Classifications of Maintenance <br /> Mechanic I and Maintenance Mechanic II. <br /> 2. The Agreement contained errors that require clarification and correction. <br /> 3. The City and the Union,having fully reviewed the attached modified classification descriptions and wage <br /> rates for the current positions of Maintenance Mechanic I and 11, have resolved all differences of opinion <br /> regarding said classification descriptions and wage rates. <br /> 4. The Civil Service Commission of the City of Decatur has approved the modified classification <br /> descriptions and wage rates of the above-referenced job classifications. <br /> 5. The incumbents in the above-referenced job classifications, specifically, Darrell R. Pare and Gussie R. <br /> Swarms, Sr., shall not be subject to the newly modified job descriptions and wage rates and shall, instead, <br /> be subject to the job descriptions and wage rates as they existed prior to this Amended Agreement being <br /> entered into by the parties. <br /> 6. The City and the Union hereby waive any further rights and/or obligations under Article 24 of the <br /> collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of the parties with regard to the above said classification <br /> descriptions and wage rates. <br /> 7. This agreement is entered into by the parties without prejudice as to each party's rights and privileges <br /> under the CBA, and is not considered by the parties to be precedent setting as to bargaining regarding any <br /> other subject matter covered by the terms of the CBA. <br /> 8.
