R2017-60 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL <br /> PARTICIPATION WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR THE CORRIDOR <br /> MONUMENT INSTALLATION PROJECT <br /> CITY PROJECT 2010-12 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Decatur endeavors to improve designated highway corridors in the <br /> City with the installation of way finding signs and entrance signs, known to the Illinois Department <br /> of Transportation as Section Number 10-00012-00-MS and State Job Number C-97-043-17. <br /> WHEREAS,the cost of said improvement has necessitated the use of federal funds, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the federal fund source requires a match of local funds, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the use of federal funds requires a joint funding AGREEMENT with the <br /> Department of Transportation. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR,ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois authorizes One Hundred Fifty <br /> Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00)or as much of such sum as may be needed in City funds to match <br /> federal funds in the completion of the aforementioned project known as Section Number <br /> 10-00012-00-MS. <br /> Section 2.
