ORDINANCE NO. �Q4— <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br /> - CHAPTER 64- <br /> -WATER SERVICE— <br /> BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, <br /> ILLINOIS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Chapter 64 of the City Code of the City of Decatur, Illinois, be, and <br /> the same is hereby modified and amended by amending Section 10, so that Section 10 as so <br /> modified and amended, shall provide as follows: <br /> 10. WATER CHARGES. The water charges shall be based upon the classification <br /> of service,the meter size and the quantity of water furnished monthly as follows:... <br /> ...Effective May 1, 2016, and continuing annually on May 1 thereafter, all water meter, <br /> water quantity, fire hydrant and water station charges contained in this Chapter will increase by <br /> 2.5 percent or by the annual percentage change of the U.S. Department of Labor Midwest Urban <br /> Consumer Price Index for each corresponding May 1 to April 30 time period, whichever is <br /> greater, except for the May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023 time period for which the increase will be <br /> by 2.5 percent. <br /> SECTION 2.
