R-)�O'S14-51 RESOLUTION INDICATING INTENT TO ANNEX AN UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY, SETTING A HEARING TO CONSIDER SUCH ANNEXATION,AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF HEARING NOTICE -LOT NORTH OF 4148 E. FARIES PARKWAY AND LOT WEST OF 4152 E. FARIES PARKWAY- WHEREAS, the City of Decatur desires to annex a certain unincorporated territory containing sixty(60) acres or less, located on Lot North of 4148 E. Faries Parkway and Lot West of 4152 E. Faries Parkway, and more specifically described as follows: TRACT A Commencing 2.45 chains North of the South East Corner of the South West 1/4 of the South West'/4 of Section 5,Township 16 North Range 3 East of the Third P.M., thence North 6.30 chains, thence West 5 chains, thence South 3.34 chains, thence East 1.75 chains, thence Southeasterly 4.56 %z chains to the place of beginning. Lot North of 4148 E. Faries Parkway, 04-13-05-303-008 TRACT B Lot 3 of Clark's Subdivision of a part of the E. '/2, NW I/4, Section 5 and a part of the E. '/2, SW '/4, Section 5, all in T. 16 N., R. 3 E., of the 3rd P.M. as recorded in Book 300, page 72 of the Records in the Recorder's Office of Macon County, Illinois, except the North Five (5)Acres. Lot West of 4152 E. Faries Parkway, 04-13-05-376-001; and, WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is wholly bounded by the City's corporate limits; and, WHEREAS,the City is authorized to annex the area without a petition pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/7-1"-13. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS, as follows: 1. The City Clerk be,and she is hereby,directed to publish a Notice of Intent to Annex the property described herein at the City Council's regular meeting on April 1, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. Said Notice of Intent to Annex is attached hereto as Exhibit A and hereby made a part hereof. 2. That said Notice of Intent to Annex shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Decatur not less than ten (10) days prior to the City Council's consideration of said annexation ordinance.
