W&4- 9 C" <br /> ORDINANCE ANNEXING TERRITORY <br /> 2243 HIGHLAND ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, there having been filed with the City Clerk, and by said Clerk presented to <br /> the Council herewith and attached as Exhibit A, the petition under oath of George T. Harris and <br /> Kathleen S. Harris, requesting that there be annexed to the City territory described as: <br /> LOT TWO (2) OF HOOPER'S FIRST ADDITION, AS PER PLAT RECORDED IN BOOK <br /> 1270, PAGE 47 OF THE RECORDS IN THE RECORDER'S OFFICE OF MACON COUNTY, <br /> ILLINOIS. SITUATED IN MACON COUNTY, ILLINOIS. <br /> PIN# 17-12-36-251-003 <br /> WHEREAS, it appears said petition is signed by the owners of record of all land <br /> within such territory and by at least 51% of the electors residing therein, and that said <br /> territory is contiguous to the City and not within the corporate limits of any city, village or <br /> incorporated town or other municipality, and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice of intention to take action for annexation has been given as <br /> required. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That said petition and the request thereof be, and the same are hereby, <br /> approved. <br /> Section 2. That said territory hereinabove described, along with all parts of public <br /> highways therein or next and adjacent thereto not heretofore annexed, if any, be, and the <br /> same are hereby, annexed to and are incorporated into the limits of the City of Decatur, <br /> Illinois, a municipal corporation. <br />
