RESOLUTION <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF A <br /> BROWNFIELD ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENT GRANT <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION <br /> AGENCY FOR CITY-WIDE ASSESSMENT GRANT <br /> WHEREAS,the City has been awarded a community-wide environmental site <br /> assessment grant in the amount of$500,000 through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <br /> to be utilized for Phase I and Phase II site assessments on known or perceived brownfield sites; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council agree accepting this grant is in the best <br /> interests of the City of Decatur. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR, ILLINOIS; <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk or their designees, are hereby <br /> authorized to execute this grant agreement, attached here to as exhibit A, and any documents <br /> necessary to receive the monies under this agreement. <br /> Section 2.
