RESOLUTION NO. 2026- <br /> RESOLUTION AMENDING R2024-349 A BEHIND THE METER SOLAR PROJECT <br /> FOR THE WILLIAM STREET PUMP STATION <br /> WHEREAS: the City of Decatur owns the William Street Pump Station located at 2707 E. <br /> William Street which use a significant amount of electricity; and, <br /> WHEREAS: the City of Decatur has supported and authorized staff to explore the solar <br /> potential to offset the electric supply needs for this facility; and, <br /> WHEREAS: the City desires to pursue a proposed behind the meter solar project based on <br /> the ROI and benefits of renewable energy production; and, <br /> WHEREAS: the City Council authorized the execution of a Power Purchase Agreement <br /> (PPA) in Resolution No. R2024-349 on November 18, 2024; and, <br /> WHEREAS: the PPA was not finalized until recently and the terms have changed since the <br /> Resolution was originally passed and a new PPA is proposed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Decatur as follows: <br /> Section 1. That the City Manager, or their designee, is authorized to execute the proposed <br /> power purchase agreement(PPA), of which the draft is attached here as Exhibit A. <br /> Section 2. That the City Manager, or their designee, is authorized to execute the necessary <br /> utility interconnection agreement, and any other documents necessary to authorize this behind the <br /> meter solar project. <br /> PRESENTED and ADOPTED this 2' day of March 2026. <br /> l?Q A-) <br /> J LIE MOO WOLFE, M R <br /> ATTEST: <br /> CIT ERK <br />
