RESOLUTION NO. R2025--30S <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REAL ESTATE PURCHASE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS AND <br /> GARFIELD SCHOOL ASSOCIATES, LP FOR THE PROPERTY <br /> LOCATED AT 1077 WEST GRAND AVE LOT ONE OF GARFIELD <br /> SCHOOL APARTMENTS ADDITION <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur,Illinois,an Illinois municipal corporation and body politic <br /> ("City")is a unit of local government pursuant to Article VII, Section 6 of the Illinois Constitution of <br /> 1970;and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City desires to sell the property located at 1077 West Grand Avenue,Decatur, <br /> Illinois,designated as Lot One(1)of Garfield School Apartments Addition per Plat 2025R-008723 in the <br /> Records of the Recorder's Office of Macon County,Illinois and formally known as the Garfield School, <br /> for redevelopment. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> DECATUR,ILLINOIS: <br /> Section 1. That the Real Estate Purchase Agreements attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, <br /> between the City and the Garfield School Associates,LP,an Illinois limited partnership,shall be executed <br /> and approved. <br /> Section 2. That the City shall be authorized to sell the property located at 1077 West Grand Ave, <br /> Decatur,Illinois as per the terms and conditions set forth in the Real Estate Purchase Agreement in Exhibit <br /> A. <br /> Section 3.
