RESOLUTION NO. R2026- <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE TRANSIT <br /> MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS AGREEMENT WITH MV TRANSPORTATION, <br /> INC. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Decatur, Illinois, an Illinois municipal corporation and body <br /> politic ("City") is a unit of local government pursuant to Article VII, Section 6 of the Illinois <br /> Constitution of 1970; and, <br /> WHEREAS,the City currently contracts with MV Transportation,Inc.for the management <br /> and operations of the City's fixed route and paratransit transportation services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City has expanded transportation operations through the implementation <br /> of countywide microtransit services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to align the contract terms for fixed route, paratransit, and <br /> microtransit services to allow for a unified procurement process for all transit service modes; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed Fourth Amendment extends the existing agreement term and <br /> provides for operational updates supporting continued transit service coordination and <br /> management improvements. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Decatur as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. The Fourth Amendment to the Agreement for Management and Operation of <br /> City of Decatur Public Transportation Services with MV Transportation, Inc., attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit A, be and is hereby approved and placed on file. <br /> Section 2.
