` r I ORDINANCE NO. 2015-04 ORDINANCE APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY CLERK Whereas, Linda M. Swartz was appointed City Clerk for a term c mmencing April 28, 2012 and ending April 30, 2015; and, Whereas, Ms. Swartz has submitted her resignation from said office, said resignation effective April 24, 2015; and, Whereas, Mayor Michael T. McElroy has requested this Coun it to assent to and approve the appointment of Debra G. Bright as City Clerk for t e remainder of Ms. Swartz' term, effective 12:01 a.m., April 25, 2015; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DECATUR, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1. That the request for approval of appointment by the Mayor of Debra G. Bright as City Clerk be received and placed on file. SECTION 2. That said request be, and the same is hereby approved, and said person be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to be appointed to said respective office for the term commencing 12:01 a.m., April 25, 2015 through April 0, 2015, or until her respective successor is appointed and qualified. SECTION 3. That the existing provisions of applicable ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, to the extent of such conflicts be, and the same are hereby modified to conform with the provisions hereof, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
